anniversay

the past year has simultaneously flown by and also felt like a lifetime.
hey, it's not always bad for things to feel like a lifetime. like when your are so comfortable or know something so well it's as if you've been doing it forever.... like that.

a year ago today i married jeffrey hunter. what a wonderful decision that was!
since then i have learned a lot.
a lot about him.
a lot about myself.

it's been amazing to watch and feel our love and bond grow in depth and understanding. and i love that everyone keeps saying that it only gets better. how great!
jeff is an amazing man.
he is generous and kind. he always thinks of others. he trains dogs so that they behave well. he takes me dancing even though it's not always his favorite thing to do. he cooks good food, but lets me cook for him because i love to. he chops fire wood. he shoots guns and wins trophies. he provides for our family - though it requires much sacrifice at times. he surprises me and takes great joy in doing so. he likes to watch movies. he takes me out mudding and cruising in his old fj40 he's restored/ing. he likes to eat ice cream together. he takes care of me when i dont feel good. he likes good music, he is strong. he is faithful. he is funny. he is intelligent. he can fix or build anything. he loves the Lord. he's good-hearted. he is exceedingly patient. he is forgiving. he is selfless. he likes the outdoors. he's not opposed to having nice things. he likes christmas decorations as much as i do. he likes listening to records on our record player. he wrote me letters all through our long distance dating even though he is not really a letter writer. he doesn't complain. he has long term vision. he has strong work ethic and high standards. he is a good employee. he loves pizza as much as i do. he is neat and tidy. he loves my family. he loves his family. he loves snow - so do i. he is smart with money. he is easy to be around. he doesn't rush time with people to do something else. he likes to sleep in when he can. he drives long distances all the time and doesn't mind. he'll drive his nieces and nephews around in the boat even when he doesn't feel like it. he gives great gifts. he makes the lawn look beautiful. he can carry on a conversation with just about anyone. he loves Texas. he loves me.

i love that we are married. that we are in this together and that i can count on it. i love that.
