"you text back like a cheetah"
yes that is a line from a love poem that a 9th grade girl wrote.
this is real folks.
Shakespeare would shed a single silent tear as his heart broke inside of him. what has become of the poetic expression of the deep and universal truth of love?
hazel has super dog qualities.
she is still bugging minnie and cooper to play.
usually how it goes is hazel wants to play. they don't. she barks at their faces from about 5 inches away for 20 minutes. "play. let's play. play. play. play hey. let's play."
they hold fast to their grumpy snobbish ways.
so hazel digs a hole.
now - we have about 12 holes.
i have been walking them once a day. but apparently that is not enough to release her pent up energy and need for entertainment. she has graduated from being interested in roots to realizing there are sprinkler heads hidden around the lawn.
**eye roll and sigh of exasperation**
so today i took all three dogs on a mile jog.
then i took hazel out to run with me on my bike. we got 1/2 mile away and came to a horse in a pin.
the horse rared back and stomped and bucked. and hazel bolted back in the direction we came from. by the time i waited for a car to pass and turned around she was out of sight.
she is getting really really fast. when i got home she was standing there like she'd been waiting for a lifetime.
so she got in a good mile sprint (1/2 at normal speed and 1/2 on super turbo).
then i took all three dogs back, on leashes this time, to the horse pin. we stayed there for a long time to get hazel to relax. she did great.
so then there was a mile walk.
that's three miles at varying speeds. and she is still ready to play.
tomorrow i am going to try my hardest to wake up at 530 and take her for a jog then to try and drain some of that before i leave to sub. maybe we won't have any new holes by the afternoon.
day two of the ab and squats challenge is done.
ate another salad dinner. it was scrumptious.
and i ate a small handfull of dark chocolate chips.
last night i stayed the course and did not drive to go get a snickers, or reese's cups or anything that shares the aisle. but i wanted to. SOOOOOO bad.
great. and now that i mention it - the craving is coming back with a vengeance.
dang.
but i did walk jog and bike three miles, not counting the 4 miles i put in to and from school a couple times today.... and.... i can afford it - right?
anybody? validate my cheating! do it!
i'll split my kit kats with you.
