travelling.

welp. LA (riverside, really) was pretty insane. it was til 12 at night from 5 in the morning daily. serious spiritual-ness, nonstop... sheesh. all i can say is that are 350 students somewhere that are now much much much more aware of how to function in a cross cultural setting.
i laughed a lot this past week. i can't even put words to how wonderful a team i work with:

i have been challenged and humbled and broken by the evidence and presence of God in them.
oh man.
just unreal.

traveling home was long.
we left campus in california at 7 am. 2 hours drive to the airport. 4 hours wait until flight.
the flight was good. i sat next to bert. he was visiting his sister in california and attending the funeral of his 30 year old niece. we talked about the abundant grace of God and where He is in tragedy. how His love is full and perfect. we shared our stories of how God saved us and how He has been working in our lives since... we cried. it was sweet.

then there was atlanta. while i was sitting there i thought of a hilarious monologue to describe the ridiculousness of delta and the ATL airport... but all of those things worked out to me getting home at 3am and then waking up for interviews with students at 7.... so my brain is fried.

maybe later.

did you also reminisce of our first meeting in the airport there?
Me: "Are you going to Richmond?"
You: ...um..... yes......
{as you sit at the gate to Richmond...}
