pictures....
well.... returning to campus - while providing for more dynamic photo ops - has NOT provided for time to go and take advantage of them..... so, in order to not set myself up to fail with the 365 goal... how bout i be sure to take photos weekly? no rules for how many per week - just as long as it is weekly.... is that cheating?
maybe. but if it's wrong, i don't want to be right.
hah.
anyhoo. my roommate and i hiked "the cascades" on my first day back in b-burg. it was great. beauty at every turn. frozen and fairy tail like.
it was my first time to hike in the snow. it was not near as miserable as i thought it would be.
this past week has been one of the busiest yet.
it was jammed packed from 7 until 10 pretty much every day. i like it, but am going to need some serious super-natural sustenance in order to keep this pace for any period of time. and as much as i love salsa dancing.... i think i may be out on that for the rest of this semester anyways.
we went on wednesday. it was not as enjoyable as it was entertaining... if those can be separated.
things i saw/experienced.
a show boat dancer that would forget he had a girl there with him. he would just go and go with his own twirling and she would be standing there trying to figure out when he was going to grace her with any contact... he stopped to tie his shoe. wait. no. he didn't STOP to tie his shoe. he was trying to tie his shoe whilst continuing to dance. it was the funniest thing.
a man that didn't even have the height of my shoulders wanted to dance. he danced WWWAAAY too close and not to any perceivable rhythm. i would try to see what his feet were doing but his head was in the way. so i just basically walked around and tried not to trip over him.
another extremely close dancer. ew...
my friend got trapped dancing with a new little stalker boyfriend. i have never seen a guy be so completely clueless. she kept turning him down and he kept asking. she used every excuse in the book. and then when we were leaving he caught her and i think was preparing to ask for digits... but we bolted for the door while he was fumbling with his phone. seeya sucka!
********
anyway. i was so dead tired the day after. it was so not worth it.
at all.
speaking of worthy things. here at the BCM we are getting ready for a weekend where we will be talking about the worth of Christ.
mainly by listening to stories of the persecuted church (current day stories...)
and it will be splendid.
i can't wait to see how God will stir some hearts to risk more and understand more about the cost of following Him.

what a delightful post! praying for that sustenance! :)
ah boo! Sad, but funny salsa experience. Keith and I have yet to make it in to honolulu to test the salsa scene. Will have to compare notes when we do...
Love you.
Love the pics.
Hope you get some "be still" time soon.
