as of late

welp - i have majorly failed at keeping in good contact so far. i am so sorry.


the trees around here put on a marvelous display (shortly before they shed their autumn styles for a more ominous winter look.) i went with a few strangers that are now friends on a long drive down the blue ridge parkway. it was beautiful.


work and life and relationships have been crazy lately. i cannot believe we are already a week into november. it seems surreal that nearly half of my time here has already passed by. there is only a few precious weeks of this semester and then the second one will come - and fly by - and then..... and then....? i have no idea.

so in the spirit of enjoying it while it lasts i went flatfooting last friday.
i didn't know what to think about all the mixed reviews i had been hearing. but i still wanted to go just for the cultural experience. and i got the privilege of bring with me some great girls, including my new chinese friends - and they had an amazing time. it was worth it just to see them dancing with the old bearded man in overalls. it was great and i probably will do it again.



there is only 10 days standing between me and getting to go home for Thanksgiving. i can't even express the excitement that i have about that.


so i have got a new project. i bought this bike for $7.95 and have started working on it with a new friend. it will be in working order soon. really it just needs a good cleaning and some new tires and break pads.
