spring

so i woke up before my alarm at 645 yesterday. it was glorious. the sun was already up and streaming through my windows. i sat down to have coffee and from my spot in the kitchen i saw my curtains i had hung out to dry catching the light and for some reason thought it was the most beautiful thing ever. grabbed shot of it: i love the light.i want to walk in the light i want to live in the light. not in the darkness.

some almond and cherry trees are already coming alive from their long slumber. it makes me breathe deep when i see their flowers coming out. they are an example of love to me. our fathers love to us by giving beauty beyond compare. how our love should be: taking risks, doing it because we must and we would not be able to live or grow if we did not produce it. and how actually it is proof that we are living. and how those flowers come out because they must - not because someone will see them. we must love because if the love of Christ is realized in us, we don't have a choice. and the measure of love that we give is in proportion to what has been put in us. Not dependent on the recipient. Not dependent on the situation. Not dependent on the outcome.
same with forgiveness. grace. mercy.
