so i went to prayer walk in topaana today. i was hoping to start getting some images of the sweet little faces that i see running around there. but i didn't really know how. so i was praying about knowing how to do it without acting like a tourist coming to gawk at the poor people...
so i just put my camera over my shoulder and kept walking.
these two little girls came up behind me and asked if i would take their picture. then they called all their friends... it was a fun little photoshoot. except there was this one little rascal that would through a tantrum when the camera wasn't on him. he hit my arm, but was quickly disciplined by one of the other girl's hands across his face.
the photos are HERE
yesterday i went to the poshtata (post office) to mail a letter and while i was there, i asked about where i could go to pay the cable bill. the guy behind the glass told me it was at the market on the second floor.
so i went and walked around on the second floor of the building that serves as a parameter to the market. all the businesses were closed down.
so i was headed towards my bike to go home and a man came behind me, 'dvoyka!'
he asked if i was looking for a place to pay my cable bill. i sort of blinked for an excessively long time. did he just say...
yep.
as he walked me to the cable place he said i was in the post office and heard you asking.
hah.
i'm glad that macedonians are so so helpful.
